Olibanum

The opening was very spicy and peppery, with obvious resin and woods behind it. There was something deeply frosty in the pine-and-cedar direction, while frankincense itself was much less dominant than the name led me to expect.

The heart became smoky, very woody and somewhat sweet, reminding me strongly of Amouage Memoir. It may have been the woodiest fragrance I had tried at the time. The name felt misleading to me because I expected a frankincense bomb.
