ABOUT THE FRAGRANCE

Maison Francis Kurkdjian describes Amyris homme Eau de Toilette as a fresh woody composition pairing amyris and iris with aromatic mandarin and rosemary, warmed by tonka bean absolute; its first-party olfactory notes also identify saffron and cedar.

OUR TAKE

3/5

The opening reminded me of polished designer fragrances such as Bleu de Chanel or Allure, but with more serious woody, amber and incense facets. As it developed, I started getting spice and sandalwood, with possible ginger or cardamom in the heart.

A strong musk character stood out throughout and reminded me of the musk signatures I associate with Creed and Xerjoff. I thought it smelled good, but not enough better than comparable designer fragrances to justify the price for me.
