ABOUT THE FRAGRANCE

Thé Noir 29 contrasts bergamot, fig and bay leaf with cedar, vetiver and musk, while black-tea extract adds dry leafy, hay and tobacco-like facets to the drydown.

OUR TAKE

4/5

The opening had a little sourness that reminded me of davana, followed by rose, fruit, possibly peach, and other florals. The name confused me because tea was not obvious at first.

Only later did I get the faintest slightly spiced tea impression in the drydown. Overall I liked the herbal rose-and-fruit blend, and on another wearing fig also became apparent. It leaned a little feminine, but I still thought it was very nice.
