ABOUT THE FRAGRANCE
Opus VII Reckless Leather is Amouage’s green woody-leather composition, opening with galbanum and spices before moving through oud, leather, ambergris and patchouli into a base of costus, muscone, frankincense, cypriol and sandalwood.
OUR TAKE
The opening was green and strongly reminiscent of galbanum, close to the fresh green side I associate with Sunshine Homme. It softened and deepened as it dried down.
Later, lavender, amber and leather became clearer alongside the galbanum. My shorthand comparison was essentially Opus II with extra green material and amber.
