ABOUT THE FRAGRANCE
Amouage's current first-party note list for Sunshine Man pairs lavender, orange-brandy and immortelle effects with clary sage, bergamot and juniper, over a base of vanilla, cedarwood and tonka bean.
OUR TAKE
Lavender dominated, alongside strong sweetness, a medicinal edge and some citrus. Although I did not really like it for myself, I appreciated how unique it was. I had never smelled anything quite like it before: very sweet, lavender-led and medicinal, but genuinely distinctive.
Later, after smelling Serge Lutens Encens et Lavande, I recognised a similar character and came to associate that particular vibe with Lavender Maillette. I think that may be part of what gives Sunshine such a distinctive feel to me.
