OUR TAKE
Italian Cypress opened with citrus and a lot of labdanum, with what I thought might be some patchouli underneath. It had a mature character that reminded me of Guerlain’s house style and, even more strongly, Houbigant Fougere Royale, but I liked this considerably more. I also picked up lavender and incense, followed by possible leather and tobacco in the drydown. For me this sits naturally in a colder-weather or evening setting.
