Santal 33

Le Labo

A striking creamy sandalwood opening shifted toward fig, woods that reminded me of cypriol and a plastic/synthetic edge, with exceptionally strong longevity.

OUR REVIEW

Firsthand review

The opening was the highlight for me: a striking blast of creamy sandalwood. As it developed, I started picking up cedar and woods that reminded me of cypriol and vetiver, plus an oud-perfume association that reminded me of Tom Ford Oud Wood; at the same time, the sandalwood itself became less obvious.

Later, fig and cypriol came forward alongside a strange plastic or synthetic edge that I associated with the leather accord. Performance was extremely strong, stronger than I personally wanted.
