Ambrette 9

Le Labo

ABOUT THE FRAGRANCE

Le Labo builds Ambrette 9 around ambrette seed, giving the fragrance a naturally musky centre softened by fresh citrus and fruit for a light, delicate signature.

OUR TAKE

3/5

Ambrette 9 was extremely light and close to the skin. Clean patchouli sat alongside a soft, powdery, slightly old-fashioned character that made me think of Iris Poudre, but in a much lighter form.

I also suspected I was partly anosmic to the musk-heavy core, which made the fragrance difficult to judge. On a later try I noticed a little citrus and more musk, but it still seemed best suited to something quiet like after a shower or before bed. Interesting, but a definite pass for me.
