ABOUT THE FRAGRANCE
Opus IV is a spicy-resinous fragrance from Amouage's former Library Collection. Reference note listings open with coriander and citrus, move through cumin, cardamom, elemi and rose, and settle into frankincense, labdanum and musk.
OUR TAKE
Myrrh, frankincense, labdanum, spices and amber formed a dark incense profile that reminded me of Norma Kamali Incense. That resinous core was the part I liked most.
On another wearing, the opening showed a surprising sweetness reminiscent of bubble gum, perhaps vanilla, before caraway became dominant in the heart.
