ABOUT THE INCENSE
Seikado's Shoun blends several rare agarwood grades with old-mountain sandalwood and a small amount of traditional herbal material, using a classical composition that balances sweetness with a sharper edge. Seikado notes that the product name changed in November 2024 while the scent, formula, price and contents remained unchanged.

OUR TAKE
Spicy, blended and sweet, with a seashell-like quality and medium smokiness. It reminded me somewhat of Shoyeido's Golden Pavilion and felt very close to my idea of classic Japanese incense.
