OUR TAKE

5/5

I had wanted to try this style of incense for a long time, and the first surprise was its sheer potency: even unlit, you can clearly smell its presence in the room. At that level of intensity I suspect there is some synthetic material in the composition, although in practice it comes across remarkably natural. The scent itself works very well: heavy florals, deep sandalwood, a creamy richness, and the kind of full, enveloping profile I associate with Indian temple incense. For the price, especially, it is hard not to be impressed. It is extremely inexpensive for the quality and, for me, an absolute bargain. The only warning is the strength. I tend to burn it next to an open window, as only a few wisps are enough to fragrance the space.
