Opus VIII
ABOUT THE FRAGRANCE
Opus VIII is a floral-spicy, woody fragrance from Amouage's former Library Collection. Reference note listings open with jasmine, orange blossom and ylang-ylang, move through guaiac wood, saffron, frankincense, ginger and vetiver, and end with balsamic notes and benzoin.

OUR TAKE
Compared with Opus VI, this was a lighter oriental and leaned somewhat feminine from the start. I did not dislike it initially.
On another wearing the fruity opening, ylang, patchouli and citrus became clearer, but the feminine character increased and the scent also turned slightly sour on my skin.
