ABOUT THE FRAGRANCE
Penhaligon’s describes Douro as an Eau de Cologne inspired by Portugal’s Douro river, combining bergamot and neroli with labdanum for added depth. The house also highlights bergamot, neroli and musk among its key notes and records the fragrance as a bespoke creation for port producer Sir Percy Croft.
OUR TAKE
Very sharp and citric, with lime and lemon dominating. Unfortunately, the citrus has a cleaning-product quality to me that makes it difficult to enjoy.
